On 19-20 October we attended the theird project meeting – first physical one though! – of NDC ASPECTS!
E3M was represented by Faidra Filippidou who travelled to Wuppertal and Panagiotis Fragkos who joined remotely from Athens.
This was a great opportunity to meet partners in person and discuss the project progress so far.
Our intervention revolved around three main areas:
- The need for the global #stocktake process to become more sector specific, highlighting the role of buildings in that respect and reflecting the input of key stakeholders, documented during the sectoral conversations.
- The work we have been doing on global benchmarking to show what is required by each sector to meet the Paris Agreement goals and how key indicators can be improved (e.g., energy intensity, #renewables & electrification shares).
- The model improvements and new scenarios we are developing for the decarbonization of the shipping sector.
