In this new article we co-authored with partners from H2020 NAVIGATE project, we argue that scenario ensembles can bring new and more robust insights compared to the use of single climate change mitigation scenarios. This will require addressing key methodological challenges namely (1) pre-processing the ensemble; (2) selecting a few scenarios or analysing the full ensemble; and (3) providing users with efficient access to the information.
