Economy Analyst

Major tasks of this position include:

  • Data analysis for different research areas such as macroeconomic indicators, clean energy technologies, energy balances, GHG emissions from large-scale databases (e.g. Eurostat, IEA, ILO, UN, OECD, WorldBank) and more
  • Support the development of economic models (CGE, econometric, multiagent)
  • Support the E3Modelling modelling economic team in conducting its core research and consulting activity related to the economic assessment of energy and climate mitigation policies as well as climate change impacts
  • Policy evaluation including the analysis of model results, visualization and report generation

Desired qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics and/or related scientific field
  • 1-5 years of experience in data and quantitative analysis
  • Proven proficiency in English (oral and written)
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time productively
  • Previous experience with GAMS programming language will be a plus;
  • Previous experience with computable general equilibrium or econometric modelling is highly recommended
