CLINT will develop an AI framework that will process big climate datasets in order to improve how extreme events (EE) are detected and attributed. The framework will also quantify the impacts of extreme events on a variety of socio-economic sectors under historical, forecasted and projected climate conditions. Ultimately, the project results will become available to public and private entities, working to advance research on climate services development.
E3M’s role is to further develop the PRIMES modules to be able to model the effect of extreme events on the energy system. On top, E3M shall establish partnerships with institutes dealing with extreme event forecasting and use the improved modules to provide consulting services to policy makers and private companies.
