Economic analysis and modelling

Ioannis Charalampidis is a member of the macroeconomics team of E3-Modelling and focuses on the use of general equilibrium modelling tools to consult on energy and climate related policy impact assessment. He has experience in the development of regional macroeconomic models, including the construction of large-scale databases of macroeconomic indicators. Ioannis has participated in studies regarding the development of databases, e.g. for the energy systems of European islands, in the context of EU-funded projects. He has also contributed to the enhancement of the representation of the mobility in the GEM-E3 model. He holds an MSc in Economics from Université catholique de Louvain and a BSc in Economics Science from Athens University of Economics and Business.
