Senior energy and environment analyst
Dr. Nikos Tasios is member of the energy modelling team of E3Modelling and has more than 10 years’ experience in stochastic long-term energy system modelling as a tool for strategic planning and policy making. He has participated in numerous European and private-funded studies focusing on energy policy and economics, climate change, investment assessment, capacity mechanisms. He specialises in power system modelling, energy forecasting and planning as well as environmental policy and economics. Nikos is also an expert of grid computing systems and has developed several tools enabling the operation of E3-Modelling’s analytical models into multi-core computing environments. He also holds a Ph.D. in “Stochastic Modelling of Investment Decisions of Power Sector and Power System Expansions” and a MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).
