Tamara Aposotlou holds a BSc in Maritime Studies from University of Piraeus and a MA in Applied Economics from State University of NY, College at Buffalo. She is currently a PhD candidate in Maritime Business Strategies at the University of Piraeus. Back in 2011 while working for the EC briefly cooperated with E3MLab on the preparation of the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Impact Assessment. She continued with a career in dry bulk shipping for over 10 years. Her work focuses on the identificaiton and analysis of commodity- and shipping-related trends that impact freight markets, chartering strategies and investment decisions in the shipping sector, as well as the hedging of freight and bunkers risk exposure.
