Decoupling electricity prices from soaring natural gas prices: Greek proposals are getting noticed

The Greek proposals for decoupling electricity prices from soaring natural gas prices are getting a lot of attention in various institutions across Europe. Professor Pantelis Capros presented the analytics and details of the proposed electricitymarket reforms at the Bruegel Institute in Brussels and during a dedicated conference organised on 10 October by the Chair of Electricity Economics of Université Paris Dauphine. In addition, several online discussions regarding these proposals are being held with electricity market associations and governments.
